Applicants: If you have questions concerning Unemployment Insurance (UI) or wish to file a claim, please call the toll free number, 1-800-388-5515. Phone calls are taken between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM Mountain Standard time, Monday through Friday, except on state observes holidays.

When you call the Claim Center, you will be asked to enter your social security number and the year you were born – using the numbers on a touch-tone telephone. You will then be transferred to an agent who will take the information necessary to file your claim.

In order to qualify for UI benefits, you must have been employed the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters. Benefits are based on wages earned during that period of time. You may draw up to 26 weeks of unemployment benefits during a 52-week period. You must be able and available for work in order to receive benefits.
